My Journey Program

My Journey or Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) program is funded by Global Fund and NACOSA is our Principle Recipient (PR). It is being implemented in Tshwane sub-district one, and Zakheni as Sub-recipient (SR) is contracted to provide Biomedical or HTS services to AYP aged between 15-24 years. The integral services include Core for HIV testing, Covid-19, TB, & STI’s screening. Male and Female condoms distribution. ART and PrEP referrals. The bi-directional layered referrals include psychosocial/Clinical and counselling support, adherence support for gendered violence response, mental health support, drugs and substance abuse for vulnerable AYP. Zakheni is officially enrolled by National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) under this grant, registered to provide HIV Serology for Proficiency Testing as recognized by the National Department of Health (NdoH).

Core Services:

  • Facilitation of HIV risk and vulnerability assessment: TB, STI’s and GBV screening.
  • Offer of HIV and Covid-19 testing.
  • Offer of Male and Female condoms.
  • GBV, HIV, STI's information.
  • Service Plan for a vulnerable youth

The assessment and screening will result in a Service Plan for the agreed journey providing the overall guide of integrated and layered services tailored and responsive to the needs of the vulnerable youth.
